Nearly 80% of Hyperliquid's core crypto contracts rose, while nearly 80% of traditional assets fell.

BlockBeats news, September 14 — According to TradingBeats monitoring, using open interest (OI) and 24-hour trading volume both exceeding $1 million as screening criteria, Hyperliquid's core crypto market and Trade.xyz presented a nearly mirror-image gain-and-loss structure today.

The core crypto market had a total of 58 active contracts, of which 46 rose and 12 fell, with gainers accounting for 79.3%; Trade.xyz also had 58 active contracts, but only 12 rose and 46 fell, with losers also accounting for 79.3%.

Core crypto assets were broadly stronger, with BTC, ETH, and HYPE rising about 1.92%, 1.85%, and 2.65%, respectively, while ZEC gained 5.69%. On the other side, most stock and index contracts on Trade.xyz came under pressure, with SK Hynix (SKHX) falling 3.78%, SanDisk (SNDK) falling 1.99%, and the Nasdaq contract XYZ100 falling 0.87%; commodities became one of the few sectors to rise against the trend, with WTI crude oil and Brent crude oil rising 2.77% and 2.43%, respectively.

As of now, Trade.xyz's notional open interest is about $4.071 billion, and its 24-hour trading volume is about $1.883 billion, accounting for about 31.1% of Hyperliquid's platform-wide perpetual contract trading volume.

Today's price strength and weakness are not consistent with the position changes over the past week.

Based on the UTC calendar week from September 7 to 13, Hyperliquid's platform-wide perpetual contract trading volume was about $50.376 billion, of which core crypto contributed about $36.056 billion, accounting for 71.57%; Trade.xyz traded about $14.038 billion, accounting for about 27.87%.

But the direction of OI changes was opposite. During the same period, core crypto notional OI fell from about $11.076 billion to $9.794 billion, down 11.57% in one week; Trade.xyz OI rose from $3.698 billion to $3.998 billion, increasing by about $301 million, or 8.13%.

Affected by this, Trade.xyz's share of platform-wide OI rose from 24.93% to 28.84%, up about 3.91 percentage points in one week; the core crypto market's share fell from 74.67% to 70.64%.
