Opinion: Bitcoin has not hit a new high for nearly a year, and the template of rapidly reaching new highs after halving is becoming ineffective.

BlockBeats news, September 13: CryptoQuant analyst Darkfost stated that Bitcoin has not hit a new high for almost a year. The number of days since the last new high is now approximately 342 days, nearing a full year. In previous cycles, a new high was reached shortly after the halving, but the pace of this cycle is slowing down. The next halving is expected around April 2028.

Additionally, the interval from the previous cycle top to the next new high has actually been shortening: 1,180 days from 2014–2017, 1,094 days from 2017–2020, and 849 days from 2021–2024. Based on this, Darkfost inferred that if this shortening trend continues, although this cycle has now dragged on for a year without breaking the previous high, the new high may arrive sooner than in previous cycles, and there is no need to wait until 2028 according to the old template of "a new high immediately after the halving." The cycle template is failing, but the interval to new highs is shortening and they are bound to arrive.
