Binance: Approximately 90% of affected assets have been backfilled, and a new round of proof of reserves snapshot has been completed.

BlockBeats news, October 31 - According to an official announcement, Binance stated that the compensation ratio for stolen assets has increased from approximately 80% to 90%. The company had previously reserved over $6.34 billion of its own funds to cover losses caused by this security incident. Currently, BTC, ETH, USDT, BNB, SOL, USDC, XRP, USD1, RLUSD, and ZEC have all achieved 100% full reserve backing.

The sources of compensation funds include part of the SAFU user asset security fund, part of the futures insurance fund, and the company's own funds. The remaining balance of the futures insurance fund is retained in accordance with regulatory requirements. The approximately 10% of assets not yet compensated are all tokens other than the aforementioned 10 tokens. Due to relatively lower liquidity, purchasing the required quantity may take longer. Binance is continuing to buy through market and OTC channels.

A new round of Proof of Reserves (PoR) snapshot was completed at 08:00 Beijing time on October 31, and the relevant data has been updated on the official website. Binance stated that zero-knowledge proof generation is expected to take 40 to 50 hours, with complete proofs expected to be available by November 3 (UTC). Holders of the aforementioned 10 tokens will then be able to verify whether their assets are backed by at least 1:1 full reserves.

Binance reiterated that it will fully bear the financial losses caused by this theft, rather than passing them on to users. Withdrawal service restoration is progressing as planned and is expected to resume on November 1, with specific arrangements to be announced separately once confirmed.
