CZ on Choosing Work Partners: Subordinates need to actively track progress, those who wait to be asked usually don't stay

CZ talked about the pressure in the crypto industry, mentioning that he receives over 500 messages a day and is involved in various miscellaneous matters. As a CEO, he is also surrounded by numerous miscellaneous tasks, so he is not very good at tracking the progress of events. When a coworker comes to me, I tell them what to do, but I won't follow up the next day or week. Therefore, I need proactive team members who can drive me forward. If a meeting is needed tomorrow or the day after tomorrow, they need to schedule it, not me going to them.

If anyone needs me to ask them about the progress of a project, I usually won't keep that person. Usually, in such cases, there is a problem with the project. So, I hope that person will have updates the next day or a week later and will message me, which will remind me. I need very proactive people around me. Everyone around me is quite proactive. Additionally, what is important to me is: you can remember three to five very important things in your mind, but these three to five things are what I need to do. The rest is what they need to do, and they need to proactively report to me.
