Perceive Beating AI News Flash: Intellectogram has confirmed that Ox Alpha is a new version in the GLM series, and the model weights will be released tonight.
Previously, the community had already traced it to Intellectogram from clues such as API errors and tokenizers, and now it has finally been confirmed.
Over the weekend, Ox Alpha anonymously accessed OpenRouter, focusing on programming and long-term Agent tasks, while also supporting text, image, and video inputs. Shortly after its launch, it quickly surged to the top spot in OpenRouter usage, with usage already doubling that of DeepSeek. OpenRouter stated that this is the largest model release in the platform's history.
Multi-modality is also a notable change this time. Intellectogram has always kept the main GLM and GLM-V visual models separate, with models like GLM-5 only supporting text, leaving images and videos to models like GLM-5V-Turbo. This time, Ox Alpha has been directly confirmed as a new GLM version that can handle both images and videos. If the final official model no longer carries the "V," it means Intellectogram is starting to merge the two model lines together.
Ox Alpha will remain free for another week, and its post-free pricing is yet to be announced.
