Robinhood Co-founder: Meme Stock Craze Has Surpassed Company's Expectations, Form to Link Users to Real Stock Tokens

BlockBeats News, August 24th, Robinhood Co-founder Vlad Tenev acknowledged the work of Robinhood's on-chain builders in yesterday's popular podcast The Iced Coffee Hour. He stated that the on-chain developers have built a unique liquidity pool and protocol that the company had not originally envisioned, combining meme coins, core crypto assets, and stock tokens. Meme coins are seen as a "gateway" or "reward mechanism" to connect users with real stock tokens.

In addition, Vlad expressed the vision to increase the percentage of American families holding stocks from around 50% before Robinhood's inception to over 95%. Tokenization is a key means to facilitate global distribution of high-quality U.S. stocks and other real-world assets.

It is worth noting that CZ also expressed a positive view on the coin-stock meme on Platform X yesterday: "This is certainly fresh and interesting. But it is necessary to ensure that the issuers can actually fulfill their obligations."
