BlockBeats News, August 22nd, according to The New York Times report, two sources familiar with the matter revealed that Anthropic recently indicated in discussions with potential investors that the San Francisco-based company may seek to raise over $1 trillion in its initial public offering.
The sources said that this IPO could also potentially value the company at $2 trillion. If successful, Anthropic, founded just five years ago, would set the record for the largest IPO in history, surpassing the record set by Elon Musk's SpaceX in June of this year. SpaceX was valued at $1.77 trillion at the time of its listing and raised $85.7 billion. This would also mark a significant leap for Anthropic.
The company reached a valuation of $900 billion in a private funding round earlier this year and filed for IPO in June.
