Civil Servants Gain New AI Colleague? Tencent's WorkBuddy Joins Guangdong e-Government System

Dynamic Beating AI News: Tencent has officially launched Wanqing WorkBuddy. The first batch of provincial direct units, including the Guangdong Provincial Medical Insurance Bureau and the Small and Medium Enterprise Service Center, have been piloting in dozens of government service scenarios, and will open to the first group of civil servants in late August.

It not only checks policies and drafts documents but can also directly interact with business systems. For example, at the Medical Insurance Bureau, WorkBuddy can identify maternity allowance documents, conduct batch pre-review, confirm manually, and then write the results back to the system.

Furthermore, it can automatically organize the government knowledge base, clean up enterprise data, and support on-premises deployment. The files and data remain in the government environment, and the AI can only use the permissions originally held by civil servants.
