The August Global Fund Manager Survey by Bank of America revealed that investors' confidence in U.S. stocks outperforming other regional markets has further strengthened. The survey showed that 27% of the surveyed fund managers are overweight on U.S. equities compared to the global benchmark weight, up 3 percentage points from July, reaching the highest level since December 2024.
Year-to-date, U.S. stocks have continued to outperform most overseas markets, with the S&P 500 Index rising 13% and the Euro Stoxx 600 Index rising 10%. However, the stock markets of Japan and South Korea have still outperformed U.S. stocks during the same period.
