Although SKHX has had the highest cumulative trading volume of about $12.19 billion since July 28, short-term trading focus has recently shifted to SNDK.
Based on a snapshot taken on the morning of July 31 after the deleveraging at the beginning of the rebound, the open interest value of SNDK has increased from about $118 million to $184 million, a growth of 56.4%; SKHX has increased from $361 million to $493 million, an increase of 36.7%; MU has decreased from $166 million to $142 million, a decrease of 14.4%.
Excluding the impact of price increases, the actual open interest in SNDK has increased by about 18.8%, lower than SKHX's 26.6%; MU has decreased by 27.9%. This means that Sandisk's leadership advantage comes more from price gains and concentrated trading volume, while SKHX remains the most aggressive in leverage expansion among the three.
