BlockBeats News, August 13th - Analyst Jukan from Citrini pointed out that Anthropic's investors expect the company's annual recurring revenue to reach $100 billion to $120 billion by the end of 2026. This number is based on the company's preferred method of calculating annualized revenue—extrapolating recent performance to annual sales, meaning that Anthropic is projected to achieve over 10x growth in 2026. Some investors have said, "If Anthropic grows by 800% in one year, you would think the most conservative estimate would still be a 30x revenue valuation, making it a $3 trillion company."
This expectation aligns with Anthropic's valuation trajectory from $380 billion in February to a recent funding valuation approaching $1 trillion, and now the discussion among investors of a $2 trillion to $3 trillion IPO valuation.
Anthropic had secretly filed for an IPO earlier this year and is set to debut in October with a valuation close to $1 trillion. If indeed the ARR reaches $100 billion to $120 billion by year-end, its business model and growth rate will further widen the gap with competitors in the AI frontier lab.
