Robinhood's UK subsidiary has been granted FCA cryptocurrency registration.

BlockBeats News, August 3rd, it was reported that Robinhood's UK subsidiary was added to the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) registered crypto asset companies list on July 31st, indicating its compliance with the regulatory requirements in anti-money laundering (AML). Since the registration system came into effect in 2020, over 50 companies have been approved, including traditional financial giants such as Ripple, Kraken, BlackRock, and BNY.

This approval comes as the UK is on the brink of launching a more comprehensive crypto regulatory framework. The application for this new framework will open at the end of September and close at the end of February next year, with the full regulatory system set to come into effect in October. Companies already registered under the current system have thus completed a significant amount of preparation ahead of future applications.
