Kimi's Mining Power Revealed: Alibaba Provides About 20,000 Nvidia H200 Cards

According to Dongcha Beating monitoring, Bloomberg revealed that the dark side of the moon had previously obtained about 20,000 NVIDIA chips' computing power through Alibaba. These chips constitute a significant part of the Kimi model's overall computing power.

Several insiders said the chips are specifically the H200. Alibaba denied providing the H200 to the dark side of the moon but did not deny the collaboration of about 20,000 NVIDIA chips' computing power with the dark side of the moon, nor did it specify the actual model.

Alibaba is both a major investor in the dark side of the moon and its cloud services provider. Bloomberg stated that Kimi has surpassed Alibaba's own Thousand Whys on some key metrics. This has left some people inside Alibaba disappointed: both sides use similar training resources, but the external investment target has taken the lead in model performance.
