Microsoft Azure continues to experience high demand, with nearly 90% of its cloud revenue coming from customers outside of cutting-edge AI model companies like OpenAI

BlockBeats News, July 30th, Microsoft stated in its earnings call that Azure demand continues to outpace existing capacity supply. The newly deployed AI infrastructure capacity is able to achieve rapid economic returns in the same quarter of deployment, and it is expected that free cash flow will return to positive growth by the fiscal year 2027 as capital expenditure growth slows down.

In addition, Microsoft's CFO Amy Hood revealed that the company's Cloud business revenue reached $214.4 billion in the 2026 fiscal year, with Azure's annual revenue exceeding $100 billion for the first time. It is worth noting that nearly 90% of the Cloud business revenue comes from customers outside of cutting-edge large-model companies like OpenAI and Anthropic, indicating that enterprise AI demand has broadly expanded to a wider range of industry clients, rather than relying mainly on top AI model developers.

At the time of writing, Microsoft's stock rose 8.83% after hours.
