Global Stock Market Capitalization has reached 137% of Global GDP, nearing a record high.

BlockBeats News, July 26th, The Kobeissi Letter stated that the total global stock market capitalization has risen to 137% of global GDP, approaching a historical high. Since April 2025, this ratio has increased by 40 percentage points and is now comparable to the peak level during the 2021 Meme Stock craze.


In contrast, before the 2008 financial crisis, the peak of the global stock market capitalization to GDP ratio was about 120%. This month, the total global stock market value has reached a record high of $166 trillion.


Of this, the total market value of the U.S. stock market is about $77 trillion, accounting for approximately 46% of the global total. AI is driving historic growth in the stock market.
