Hyperliquid RWA's weekly trading volume surpassed that of crypto assets for the first time last week, accounting for 54%.

BlockBeats News, July 24th, ARK Invest Research Director Lorenzo Valente stated that according to Blockworks data, transactions of real-world assets (RWA) based on the HIP-3 protocol on the Hyperliquid platform are rapidly growing. Last week, the RWA transaction volume on the Hyperliquid platform surpassed cryptocurrency asset transactions for the first time, accounting for 54% of the platform's total transaction volume. Among them, single stock trading has become the fastest-growing category, with stock trading volume surpassing indices and commodities since June, now accounting for approximately 61% of the total Hyperliquid RWA transaction volume, indicating that the on-chain financial market is expanding from purely cryptocurrency asset trading to traditional assets.

Data shows that the total trading volume of decentralized exchanges (DEX) perpetual contracts last week was approximately $79 billion, with Hyperliquid contributing around $50 billion. The HIP-3 RWA transaction volume reached $26 billion, even surpassing the total DEX cryptocurrency perpetual contract trading volume. RWA transactions in the future may not necessarily be completely concentrated on existing cryptocurrency trading platforms; different asset classes may form independent leaders. The future focus of trading platform competition may shift from competing for BTC, ETH, SOL, and other cryptocurrency asset flows to competing for on-chain trading demand for stocks, commodities, and other real-world assets.
