BlockBeats News, July 18th, according to The New York Times, three sources revealed that Meta Platforms is in talks to lease its proprietary AI data center computing power to Anthropic. This two-year cooperation agreement could reach a maximum scale of $10 billion. Sources said Anthropic proposed the partnership in June, and Meta is currently evaluating it, with transaction details still being fine-tuned. Under the proposal, Anthropic will make monthly payments to Meta over the two years, and both companies have the right to terminate the agreement early.
The computing power purchase scale that Anthropic has proposed to Meta this time is only one-third of the contract it signed with SpaceX in May. Insiders said that the negotiations are still in the early stages and may not ultimately materialize.
According to BIT (bit.com) market data, Meta's decline narrowed to 3%.
