Following the example of Samsung and Micron, ASML plans to grant a one-time €20,000 bonus to employees, as AI demand boosts performance.

BlockBeats News, July 18th. Dutch ASML Holding will grant a one-time €20,000 (approximately $22,862) bonus to its global employees. With surging sales driven by the demand for artificial intelligence, the company has joined the trend of more chipmakers sharing performance bonuses with employees.

The company will award stock bonuses to global employees on January 1, 2027, on the condition that employees remain in continuous service throughout the vesting period, which will be completed in early 2030. ASML's move comes amid the global AI development boom driving a significant increase in demand for its products.

Previously, chip manufacturers including Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix have also granted bonuses to employees. As investments in AI infrastructure yield massive returns, more of the biggest beneficiaries are facing pressure to share more profits with employees. TSMC also pledged in May this year to increase the average profit sharing for employees by over 30%.
