Codex has not made money for people yet; the skin sellers have made money first

According to Dongcha Beating monitoring, a batch of Codex desktop skinning services has appeared on Xianyu. Tutorials can be purchased for a few yuan, and custom prices are mostly between 66 yuan and 99 yuan. Sellers will replace the background, sidebar, buttons, and avatar, and themes related to celebrities, games, and anime can all be done.

The underlying tools have been open-sourced for free on GitHub. Codex Dream Skin supports macOS and Windows, injects themes via native CDP, does not modify the official installation package, and can also restore the original interface with one click. The project has currently received approximately 6800 Stars.

Some people ridicule this as an asymmetry of information business, while others believe that buyers are paying for design, installation, and time saving.
