The Claude Opus5 protocol is set to be released as early as this week, filling the void left by the departure of Fable5.

According to Dynamic Beating monitoring, whistleblower account leo claimed that Anthropic is making final preparations for Claude Opus 5. The model is expected to be released as early as this week, but it could also be delayed until next week. Its capabilities are projected to be similar to Fable 5, but with lower operating costs.

Anthropic has extended the in-use period of Fable 5's subscription until July 19, but is not currently planning to extend it further.
