DeepSeek Annualized Revenue Nearing $500 Million, V4 API Gross Margin Exceeds 50%

According to DeepTech Beating's monitoring, The Information cited sources familiar with the matter, stating that DeepSeek's recent annualized revenue has reached $4-5 billion. The revenue mainly comes from enterprises and developers accessing models through the API.

Annualized revenue is the current revenue rate annualized, not the already realized full-year revenue.

Sources also mentioned that DeepSeek's V4 API has a gross margin of over 50%. Despite charging much less than OpenAI and Anthropic, the company has optimized its infrastructure to reduce the chip requirements for running models.

DeepSeek is also planning to raise another $50 billion, with a valuation of around $500 billion, approximately $74 billion. Based on the upper limit of the annualized revenue, the valuation is about 148 times the revenue.

This funding round, disclosed yesterday as a $480 billion, approximately $71 billion valuation, is the same round of financing, with slightly different figures reported in different publications. DeepSeek is also preparing to bring in overseas investors from regions like the Middle East and allowing them to invest in USD.
