According to Vision One Beating monitoring, the AI code editor Cursor has released the iOS native app beta, allowing developers to code on their phones.
The app addresses the pain point of developers having to sit in front of a computer to run AI tasks. Now, you only need to select a code repository on your phone, express your ideas in text or voice, and trigger a round-the-clock AI assistant in the cloud. The AI will independently run tasks, test code in a cloud-based virtual environment, and generate merge requests. If you want to control tasks on your home or office computer, you can also do so remotely from your phone.
To enhance the mobile experience, Cursor has integrated Apple's "Live Activities" lock screen notifications. Once the AI finishes running the code, requires manual confirmation, or generates a merge code request, the phone's lock screen will provide a direct notification. You can visually inspect the AI-generated web previews, screenshots, code differentials, and even directly merge the code with a single tap on your phone.
The iOS version is now available to all premium users. Until July 5th, using the mobile app to run the core programming feature Composer 2.5 will also enjoy a limited-time 75% discount.
