CZ: If Satoshi's address remains inactive long after the Bitcoin post-quantum upgrade, the related BTC should be locked.

BlockBeats News, June 20th, Binance founder CZ participated in the Galaxy Brains podcast and was interviewed by Galaxy Research Director Alex Thorn. CZ stated that quantum computing is not an unsolvable problem for Bitcoin, as there are already post-quantum encryption algorithms available. The key is community coordination for upgrades. As for BTC related to Satoshi Nakamoto, CZ believes that "doing nothing" is a bad choice. He suggested that if Bitcoin forks to a new cryptographic scheme in the future, the community could provide a 6 to 12-month window; if these coins are not moved by then, the related addresses should be frozen in the new protocol, and around 1 million BTC should be moved out of circulation.

CZ believes that if no action is taken, these BTC will ultimately be equivalent to being handed over to the first person who can crack the addresses using a quantum computer, which is not a good distribution method. The final decision on how to proceed should still be decided by a community vote, potentially through a Bitcoin-related signaling mechanism to express consensus. If there is no activity on Satoshi Nakamoto's related addresses, his suggestion is to freeze these addresses in the new protocol and move the associated BTC out of circulation.
