BlockBeats News, June 20th, Binance founder CZ participated in the Galaxy Brains podcast and was interviewed by Galaxy Research Director Alex Thorn. CZ stated that the prediction market is a clever and valuable invention. Although not a new concept, any tool that can provide price discovery and liquidity is a good thing. He believes that prediction markets are usually more accurate with real-money participation compared to other forecasting methods because people with better judgment will enter the relevant market trades. CZ mentioned that it is a positive development for Polymarket and Kalshi to obtain licenses in the United States and hopes that many prediction market projects in the crypto industry can act responsibly.
Regarding Hyperliquid, CZ mentioned that it has proven a previously unverified new market demand. The team is small but highly capable, with decent technological innovation. However, based on his own experience, he would not choose Hyperliquid's current KYC-free operating model. If traditional financial institutions like CME launch crypto perpetual contracts in the U.S., it will serve the U.S. institutional market that Binance Global has never served. CZ also expressed that more platforms offering crypto derivative trading is a positive development, and improving liquidity is ultimately the best protection for users.
Previously, CZ revealed that YZI Labs' current investment direction is roughly 70% crypto, 20% AI, and 10% biotech. He hopes that YZI Labs will focus more on impact rather than just financial returns. The psychological return from investing in biotech is more direct because this type of technology may help a large number of people in the future.
