According to Dynamic Beating monitoring, Anthropic released an interview video on the occasion of Claude Code's first anniversary. Boris Cherny, the father of Claude Code, and Product Lead Cat Wu revealed that the AI agent is completely reshaping Anthropic's internal R&D process. Within Anthropic, new employees no longer ask questions to their colleagues upon onboarding, but are directly guided through all processes by Claude.
The daily work mode of engineers is transitioning to multi-agent management. Boris Cherny disclosed that close to half of the programming work is currently done on mobile devices. By utilizing the new AI agent view and desktop application of Claude Code, along with the recently upgraded remote control feature, engineers can initiate and monitor the concurrent operation of agents from their mobile devices, enabling them to "code while sipping coffee."
Both leaders also put forward the development concept of "Contextual Minimalism." In the advanced model development stage, complex prompting engineering and context management are no longer necessary. Developers should provide the AI agent with minimal system prompts and tools, allowing the model to autonomously seek the optimal solution. Additionally, AI intervention has led to the fusion of the roles of product managers and engineers, enabling non-technical team members to directly write code, while engineers can independently oversee end-to-end product development and regulatory compliance.
