Suspected a16z Affiliated Address Accumulates 687,000 HYPE Tokens in the Past Four Days, Accumulating Nearly $460 Million in Spot Purchases this Year

BlockBeats News, June 4th, according to Hyperinsight monitoring, the "HYPE Spot Whale" today once again added TWAP (Time-Weighted Average Price) buy orders through five addresses, planning to buy 136,000 HYPE spot coins, worth approximately $9.65 million.

The whale has cumulatively placed over 687,000 HYPE TWAP buy orders in the past four days, worth around $48.09 million (calculated at a $70 price). Monitoring shows that it creates orders around mid-morning and plans to buy gradually over the next 24 hours.

The whale can list as many as a dozen associated addresses, all of which trace back to addresses suspected to be linked to the largest external entity of HYPE, a16z. It is reported that these addresses had extensively consolidated HYPE spot coins from various major exchanges and other liquidity sources in late May.

Since 2026, its associated addresses have accumulated a total of 6.617 million HYPE coins (valued at approximately $4.63 billion at the current price). Currently, most of the spot coins mentioned above have been transferred and consolidated to the Hyperliquid platform.
