Trump: May Hit Iran Harder, But Will Wait to See If Deal Can Be Reached

BlockBeats News, May 21st. On Wednesday local time, Trump stated that the United States may have to launch a more severe strike against Iran, but will first observe if an agreement can be reached. This continues his "either-or" stance that he has been using since announcing a ceasefire six weeks ago.

Trump said, "We have hit them very hard. We may have to hit them harder - but maybe not. We will not allow Iran to have nuclear weapons. It's that simple. Iran's military is basically destroyed, and now the only question is whether the United States will go back to 'finish the job' or if Iran will sign an agreement. Their navy is gone, their air force is gone, almost everything is gone. The only question is, will we go back and totally decimate them? Will they sign a document? Let's see what happens."

Trump also stated earlier today that negotiations with Iran have entered the final stage, while warning that the United States will launch more attacks unless Iran reaches an agreement on its nuclear program.
