Iran: Will Continue Negotiations Despite "Strong Mistrust of the United States"

BlockBeats News, May 21st - Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Bagaei stated on the evening of May 20th local time regarding the Iran-US situation, the security of the Strait of Hormuz, and US pressure on Iran, emphasizing that Iran will continue negotiations under "strong mistrust of the United States" while resolutely defending national interests.

Bagaei stated that Iran is currently in continuous exchange of information with the United States through a mediator in Pakistan. Tehran's core demands include ending regional conflicts, unfreezing Iran's overseas assets, and stopping "maritime piracy" against Iranian shipping. He mentioned that despite the negative record of the US actions over the past year and a half, Iran is still advancing the diplomatic process with a "serious and goodwill" attitude. However, Iran maintains a "strong and reasonable mistrust" of the United States. (CCTV News)
