BlockBeats News, April 28th, Tether announced the launch of a new generation of modular Bitcoin mining infrastructure, which improves energy efficiency, cost control, and scalability through a self-developed high-density computing system. This solution is built on application-specific hashboard modules and developed in collaboration with Canaan Inc. and ACME Swisstech. It decouples computation, power supply, and chassis structure to achieve component-level optimization and flexible upgrades. Compared to traditional integrated mining rigs, this design supports on-demand expansion, component replacement, and enhances thermal management efficiency.
Tether stated that the new system, combined with immersion cooling, reduces energy consumption and operational costs while increasing system availability. This architecture also allows dynamic adjustment of performance output in real operating conditions to adapt to various mining farm requirements.
This upgrade, based on its previously open-sourced Mining OS (MOS) and Mining SDK development, marks its extension from software control to hardware design, further strengthening its autonomous control over mining infrastructure.
