BlockBeats, Oct. 9 (Xinhua) -- The number of blacklisted Tether addresses on ethereum has reached 100, according to a new study by The Block Research.
Eighty-four addresses were added to Tether's blacklist in 2020, and most of them occurred after July. Note: "Blacklisting" means that the address cannot be sent, received, or exchanged for USDT, rendering any Tether tokens held in those addresses unusable.
As of July 9, 2020, Tether had blacklisted 39 Ethereum addresses that held USDT stability COINS. There are a number of reasons why the address was blacklisted, including law enforcement requests or Tether's freeze as part of the recovery process.
