BlockBeats News, April 25th - Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu stated that Turkey may consider participating in a mine-clearing operation in the Hormuz Strait following a possible peace agreement between Iran and the United States.
It is expected that after the US-Iran agreement, a technical team will carry out the mine clearance operation in the strait. Turkey fundamentally considers such actions as a humanitarian responsibility and is positive about it.
If this technical multi-national alliance becomes a party to a new round of conflict in the future, Turkey will reassess its position. It believes that issues related to the Iranian nuclear program can be addressed in the next round of talks to be held in Pakistan. (FXStreet)
