Iran Plans to Enact Hormuz Strait Management Law, Prohibiting Passage of Israeli-Linked Vessels

BlockBeats News, April 20, local time. On the 19th, Chairman of the Iranian Parliament's Civil Engineering Committee Rezaee Kouchi stated that Iran has developed a comprehensive law on the management of the Strait of Hormuz, and the law is about to be finalized.

According to the law, the passage of goods and vessels related to the Israeli regime will be prohibited. War-torn countries will also be prohibited from passing through Iran without permission from the Supreme National Security Council of Iran. Furthermore, any country that harms Iran will be prohibited from passing through the Strait of Hormuz until they pay compensation.

Under this plan, foreign vessels must pay fees in Rial to pass through the Strait of Hormuz. 30% of the transit fee revenue will be used to strengthen the armed forces, and 70% will be used to improve people's livelihoods. (Jinse)
