1 new address input $9,900 believing the US will acknowledge the existence of aliens this year

According to PolyBeats monitoring, in the prediction market Polymarket, a new account has invested $9,900 in the "Will the US officially acknowledge the existence of extraterrestrial beings this year" market by buying "Yes", with the current probability of this event being "Yes" set at 19%.

Per the rules of this event, for this market to settle as "Yes", the President of the United States, any member of the U.S. Cabinet, any member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, or any U.S. federal agency must expressly acknowledge the existence of extraterrestrial life or technology; otherwise, the market will settle as "No".

Recently, U.S. Congressman, Tennessee Republican Tim Burchett has made personal claims in media interviews and program segments suggesting that he has been informed that "extraterrestrial beings have visited Earth and had contact with humans"; however, as of now, this does not represent an official acknowledgment by the U.S. government of the existence of extraterrestrial life, nor has it been corroborated by reputable media outlets, with media personnel suggesting that this might be related to the upcoming midterm election campaigning.
