BlockBeats News, April 9th, according to the Turkish Anadolu Agency, Pakistani government sources said that a US-Iran delegation will hold "direct" talks in Islamabad aimed at reaching a "permanent ceasefire" agreement. The talks, scheduled to start on Saturday, may last more than a day. Pakistan is preparing to host the talks. The meeting will take place at a heavily guarded military venue organized by the Pakistani military.
According to sources, the talks do not have a fixed timetable and will include both direct and indirect contacts between the delegations. "Both sides will also have face-to-face discussions and hold separate talks with the Pakistani side." Due to the "complexity of the issues," the discussions may last "several days."
Sources said that, for security reasons, the direct talks may not exceed two to three days.
