Both of his parents come from small villages, with his father working at the local radio station, responsible for maintaining the county's broadcasting system. When he was three years old, his family moved to Zhonghu Village near his maternal grandmother's home. His mother taught math and history at the village's middle school, and the family lived in a teacher's dormitory with a dirt floor and no cement. At that time, living conditions were tough, with no running water available, and the nearest well was 300 meters away.
