Think Tank Warning: U.S. Weeks Away From Striking Iran, Israel to Take Over Prolonged Action

BlockBeats News, March 19th, according to Seth G. Jones, an expert at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, the direct U.S. military strike against Iran may only be sustainable for "a few days or a few weeks," mainly due to limited long-range strike and defense ammunition stockpiles.

He pointed out that prior to the latest round of strikes, the U.S.'s critical ammunition reserves were already under strain, which would force the Donald Trump administration to scale back its military operations. However, even as the U.S. gradually backs off, Israel is expected to continue periodic strikes against Iran, similar to its long-term military strategy targeting armed groups in Lebanon.

The analysis believes that if the current stage of the conflict ends, it may help ease the tension in the Strait of Hormuz and drive down oil prices, but the resumption of shipping still depends on the progress of subsequent diplomatic negotiations.
