IoTeX Suspected Private Key Leak Leads to Theft of Around $4.3 Million in Assets

BlockBeats News, February 21st, on-chain analyst Specter posted that IoTeX may have experienced a private key leak incident, with its token treasury assets fully drained by an attacker, resulting in a total loss of approximately $4.3 million.

On-chain data shows that the attacker transferred multiple token assets, including USDC, USDT, IOTX, PAYG, WBTC, and BUSD. Subsequently, the stolen assets were exchanged for ETH, with around 45 ETH then bridged to the Bitcoin network.

Furthermore, 111 million CIOTEX tokens were minted at the address starting with 0xA46.
