CZ: I feel fulfilled contributing to the world, and currently have the means to do what I want to do

BlockBeats News, February 12th, Binance founder CZ stated in an AMA:

I think people just add up assets and funds and then slap on the "richest person" label. But for me, what's more important is the contribution to society, to the world. That's what makes me feel good.

I don't do these things for others; I do it for "selfish" reasons. Doing things that have a positive impact on the world makes me feel good. Humans are genetically wired to want to help each other, to make this world a little better than when we arrived, right? So we want to make a positive contribution.

When we do these things, we receive a very strong internal reward, which makes me very happy. So I do these things. Especially after going through those [experiences] in the last two years, I now appreciate some simple joys in life. I feel that I am in a rather fortunate position. Because I have enough resources to do some impactful things. I have enough ability, team, funds to do things, and I also have time to invest.

I'm not particularly young anymore, but I'm not old either, so I still have the ability to do these things. At my age, few people have the luxury of being able to do what they really want to do, and even if I'm not in the company, it's been running very well, as it has been for the past two or two and a half years, and will continue into the future. Well, this has given me freedom to do other things.
