BlockBeats News, February 11, according to official sources, Robinhood has announced that the Robinhood Chain testnet for developers is now live, allowing developers to build infrastructure on top of it.
Robinhood Chain is reportedly a finance-grade Ethereum Layer 2 network built on Arbitrum, designed to support real-world assets.
The official announcement states that the goal is to accelerate the development of on-chain financial services—starting with the tokenization of real-world and digital assets. Developers can now build on the core foundation of the Robinhood Chain and explore possibilities before the mainnet launch. This phase will lay the groundwork for developers to start building and testing applications on the Robinhood Chain. Infrastructure providers, including Alchemy, Allium, Chainlink, LayerZero, and TRM, have started integrating with the Robinhood Chain, with more providers set to join in the early stages of the testnet.
The testnet will support early experiments, identify potential issues, enhance network stability, and prepare developers for the upcoming mainnet launch. In the coming months, developers building on the Robinhood Chain will be able to release assets available exclusively for the testnet, including stock tokens for integration testing, and engage in direct testing with the Robinhood wallet.
