Vitalik co-authored EIP-7983, a proposal aiming to set a Gas Limit per Ethereum transaction

BlockBeats News, July 6th, according to Cointelegraph, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin and Ethereum researcher Toni Wahrstätter have co-authored proposal EIP-7983, which proposes to set the Gas limit for a single Ethereum transaction to 16.77 million.

This proposal aims to reduce the risk of denial-of-service (DoS) attacks, optimize the performance of the zkVM (zero-knowledge Virtual Machine), and balance overall Gas usage efficiency.

In addition to EIP-1559, there are many ways to lower your Gas bill.
1. Resources in the Ethereum network are limited and priced by a single resource, "Gas", which is a measure of the amount of computational work required to process a particular transaction or block. 2. The concept of multidimensional Gas is implemented through EIP-4844 and can be used on Ethereum, helping to improve the security and efficiency of the network. 3. The Cancun upgrade introduced Blobs, a data space that facilitates convolution, reducing convolution costs and increasing transaction volume. 4. Multidimensional Gas can limit and charge storage access separately, as well as other resources such as state size growth, by setting different parameters to adjust Gas prices. 5. Implementing multidimensional Gas pricing requires deep changes to the EVM, which may increase challenges for developers, but these problems can be solved by implementing solutions similar to EIP-7623.
Vitalik Buterin believes that the risk posed by EIP-1559 to clients is no greater than that of a fixed gas limit mechanism.
