BlockBeats News, May 15th, according to Cointelegraph's report, blockchain compliance company AMLBot's latest report shows that Tether's wallet blacklist mechanism has a significant delay, allowing over $78 million in illegal funds to be successfully transferred before the freeze takes effect.
The report points out that Tether's multi-signature contract settings on the Ethereum and Tron blockchains result in an average 44-minute delay from blacklist submission to enforcement. On the Ethereum chain, approximately 28.5 million USDT was transferred during the blacklist delay, with an average of over $365,000 per transfer. On the Tron chain, $49.6 million evaded freezing, with approximately 4.88% of flagged wallets exploiting this loophole for 2-3 transfers, averaging $292,000 per wallet transfer.
