BlockBeats News, November 6th - Kamala Harris' campaign co-chair Cedric Richmond told the gathered audience at Howard University's planned Democratic candidate election night party that the Vice President would not be speaking tonight, but the campaign team would not give up the fight against Trump.
“We still have votes to count. There are still some states that have not reported results. We will continue to fight through the night to make sure every vote is counted, to make sure everyone has a voice,” Richmond said. “So you won't hear from the Vice President tonight, but you will hear from her tomorrow.”
Richmond stated that Harris would return to Howard "not only to speak to her supporters, but to speak to the nation." The event was initially planned as a celebration of Harris' election and the prospect of a new president, but as the Democratic path to victory became increasingly narrow, the atmosphere began to sour.
