DCG and its CEO filed a motion to dismiss the New York Attorney General and Department of Justice lawsuit
BlockBeats news, on March 6, Coindesk reported that DCG, the parent company of Genesis Global Capital, had filed a motion to dismiss New York Attorney General Letitia James’ lawsuit against its subsidiary. DCG founder and CEO Barry Silbert also filed a motion to dismiss the attorney general’s lawsuit accusing him of “deceiving customers and investors by concealing the company’s losses.”
BlockBeats previously reported that New York Attorney General Letitia James expanded the scale of the civil fraud case against DCG on February 10 this year, holding that DCG was responsible for $3 billion in investor losses related to Gemini Earn products and direct investments in Genesis. New York's attorney general said the number of injured investors reached 230,000 and the total losses amounted to $3 billion, prompting the New York Supreme Court to expand the scope of the lawsuit.
