Solana has launched a new generation of SPL token extension, supporting enterprise-level use cases.

According to an official announcement from BlockBeats on January 24th, Solana has launched a new generation of SPL token extensions that provide native support for enterprise-level use cases without relying on third parties. These extensions include "confidential transfers" that protect user balances during transfers and hide transaction amounts, wallets that allow token issuers to control interactions with their tokens, and "transfer hooks" that control how tokens and users interact. Additionally, the extensions enable protocol-level fees to be charged for transactions, unlocking the possibility of using new business standards and use cases on the Solana blockchain. For example, confidential transfers can be used for on-chain salaries, B2B payments, and financial management; transfer hooks can be used for KYC verification, token access control, and royalty enforcement; and transfer fees can be used for perpetual royalties, issuance fees, and transaction fees.
