US asset management company Vanguard does not allow customers to purchase newly listed spot Bitcoin ETFs.
According to BlockBeats news on January 12th, Vanguard, the largest asset management company in the United States, will not allow customers to purchase new approved Bitcoin spot ETFs. A Vanguard spokesperson also stated that there are no plans to offer a Vanguard Bitcoin ETF or other crypto-related products. The reason is that crypto-related products have a different focus from asset management companies on "building balanced long-term investment portfolios".
"Our long-standing view is that the high volatility of cryptocurrencies is contrary to our goal of helping investors generate positive real returns over the long term."
