Game development studio Neon Machine has raised $20 million in funding, with Polychain leading the investment.
BlockBeats News, October 25th. According to Decrypt, game development studio Neon Machine has completed a $20 million Series A financing round. The round was led by Polychain, with participation from Griffin Gaming Partners, Brevan Howard Digital, Franklin Templeton, IOSG Ventures, and Tess Ventures.
The funds from this round of financing will be used to further develop their first-person shooter game "Shrapnel" during "critical moments". Similar to the popular and successful "Call of Duty" series, "Shrapnel" is made using the Unreal Engine 5. The game is expected to be launched in December, initially targeting paid users, and eventually developing into a free game. The team behind Shrapnel currently has 70 employees.
