FTX paid NBA star Curry $35 million in advertising fees, working only 20 hours a year for three years.

According to a BlockBeats report on October 8th citing Bitcoinist, Michael Lewis, the author of "The Big Short," claimed in an interview that NBA star Stephen Curry earned $35 million over three years by working 20 hours a year to promote FTX. Lewis said he was fortunate to have met with former CEO SBF more than 100 times during the promotion of his new book about FTX founder SBF. During his meetings with SBF, Lewis reviewed some internal FTX documents that detailed how celebrities worked with cryptocurrency companies. This is how he learned about Curry's collaboration with FTX. "He paid Tom Brady $55 million, 20 hours a year, for three years. He paid Stephen Curry $35 million over three years under the same terms," Lewis said. SBF also paid several other celebrities millions of dollars to promote FTX, including in a Super Bowl ad.
