Today, due to the Curve incident triggering a rush, the largest MEV reward block in the history of Ethereum was generated.
BlockBeats news on July 31st reported that eric.eth, a core developer of Ethereum and co-author of EIP-1559, announced on social media that some of the largest MEV reward blocks in Ethereum history were generated today. Slot 6,992,273 received a reward of 584 ETH; Slot 6,993,342 received a reward of 345 ETH; Slot 6,992,050 received a reward of 247 ETH; and Slot 6,993,346 received a reward of 51 ETH.
Eric.eth stated that Curve had suffered a hack. A robot noticed that a hacker had invaded the MEV pool, copied the transaction, and ran away with it. As a result, they paid a large amount of ETH to the block producers to achieve the run.
