Phishing emails are a common scam

BlockBeats, in a Web 3 foundation email to Web 3 Summit participants, said that fraudulent emails selling Polkadot tokens had recently emerged.

The details are that the sender of the fraudulent email, who identified himself as Peter Czaban, co-founder of the Web 3 foundation, with the subject line "the distribution of remaining DOT tokens", attempted to defraud funds and personal information. BlockBeats found that the Web 3 foundation said the team had discovered the situation on December 23 and had issued a timely alert on twitter and other social media to prevent victims of the phishing scam.
