Over the past four years, 98% of Stellar's token offerings have gone to the foundation, and only about $41,000 of its equivalent has been spent on community projects

According to the latest CoinMetrics report, 98% of the tokens issued by Stellar inflation went to the Stellar development foundation SDF.

In the four years Stellar inflation took place, only 23 recipient accounts Shared 5.482 billion XLM tokens, including some of the largest XLM holders on the market: SDF, trading platforms, community programs and node vendors, according to the CoinMetrics report. But of these accounts, only the SDF actually benefited.

According to the report, 98% of all tokens issued by Stellar from October 2015 to October 2019 were used for SDF. Block beat BlcokBeats believes that this may have been due to the fact that the SDF controls 80% of the XLM circulation, designating itself as the target account for inflation and thus gaining the largest share (in the Stellar pass-through economy design, the acquisition address of the rights issue is related to the results of the whole network voting, while the voting power is directly tied to XLM holdings).

At the same time, SDF has been participating in the inflation process of XLM since the earliest time, which is one of the reasons why SDF has the largest share of additional tokens. So far, only 834,000 XLM (about $41,000) has been spent on community projects, the report says.

BlockBeats learned that Stellar stopped the inflation program last October. At present, XLM has a total market value of $950 million, ranking 11th in total market value.
